Unique opportunity for a strong ophthalmic professional to join this well known global organisation to drive the clinical acceptance and commercial uptake of Crystalens within the UK.
 
The main responsibility for this role is to achieve territory Crystalens sales and margin target and provide industry leading specialist application and sales support to the UK Crystalens customers in order to maximise clinical outcomes.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Devise and execute territory sales plan, using customer and market analysis. Achieve required territory sales and margin targets for Crystalens
  • Responsible to train Surgeons, Clinic personnel and all required stakeholders in the successful use of Crystalens. This will include Biometry, Refraction, IOL calculation, patient selection, intra-operative use of the product and requirements for post op follow up
  • Support the organisation of educational courses to introduce new customers to Crystalens
  • Implement the Crystalens credentialing process for surgeons and ensure all customer requirements for this are successfully met, including providing required level of COS input during the credentialing phase of cases
  • Proactively work with customers to ensure quality and consistency in pre and post operative measurements and the correct use of Crystalens. Continually refining their processes to maximise clinical outcomes
  • Proactive monitoring and feedback on customer clinical outcomes utilising the Surgivision database and providing revision training as required
  • Monitor clinical publications relating to the premium IOL sector and provide updates to sales and marketing functions to support better understanding of the clinical environment and potential changes affecting B&L’s business
  • Continually monitor the PIOL market in the UK ensuring knowledge on competitive offerings is up to date and that potential threats to Crystalens business are identified and appropriate action is taken. Providing feedback to UK sales and marketing management
  • Support the promotion of Crystalens at appropriate ophthalmic meetings
  • Develop a comprehensive knowledge on the Bausch & Lomb MICS portfolio of products and leverage opportunities for this with Crystalens customers, referring opportunities to appropriate sales colleagues to follow up
Key Requirements:
  • Minimum 3 years ophthalmic technical or clinical support role function
  • 1-2 years in sales role (ideally ophthalmic) - preferred
  • Theatre based/surgical product sales experience - preferred
  • Professional Qualifications: OD, RN Ophthalmic - preferred
  • Ideally graduate level or equivalent professional qualification
